A Non-Comprehensive AMC covers labour, preventive visits and configuration — spare parts are billed separately. A Comprehensive AMC includes spares as well, at a higher annual fee.
Rule of thumb
Systems under 3 years old with active warranty: non-comprehensive is enough. Systems older than 3 years or in harsh coastal conditions: comprehensive usually works out cheaper.
What a good AMC must include
Scheduled preventive visits, camera cleaning and re-focusing, recording and backup health check, firmware updates, and a defined response time for complaints.
